Post construction checklist
The main culprit of a post construction job is drywall dust! We strongly encourage clients to consider having their ducts cleaned prior to your scheduled post construction clean. Failing to do this will result in drywall dust being blown around your house every time the furnace or AC turns on and re settling on surfaces. This will defeat the purpose of this clean.
Kitchen:
- Wash oven and warming drawer
- Clean stove top
- Pull out oven and fridge and clean under and behind
- Wash backsplash
- Wash counter tops
- Wash interior of dishwasher
- Wash all counter tops
- Wash under sink
- Pull off any heat vents and wash them
- Wash kick plates of cabinets/island
- Wash all stainless-steel appliances
- Wash fridge/freezer interior and its vents
- Wash the kickplates (the ledge under the cabinets on the floor) of any spills/marks
- Wash any baseboards around kitchen
- Wash under side/back side (where feet usually kick if they have a sit at one) of any marks
- Pull out oven and wash under/behind and sides
- Pull out fridge and do same as above
- Wash/dust all walls
- Wash/disinfect all light switches
- Vacuum floors and heat vents
- mop
Common areas and bedrooms:
- Dust top to bottom – all ceiling fans
- Wash all windows, tracks and blinds
- Wash all baseboards
- Wash walls
- Disinfect light switches and door handles
- Vacuum floors and heat vents
- Wash/mop all walls
- mop if applicable
Bathrooms:
- Dust/wash hood vent
- Dust perimeter of bathroom
- Dust doors – wash anything stuck on
- Remove light fixtures and wash inside and out
- Wash light fixtures inside and out – make sure light bulbs aren’t hot
- Wash any blinds, windows, tracks
- Wash all baseboards
- Wash toilet inside, out, and all around
- Wash any marks on walls
- Clean bathtub
- Wash shower
- Polish curtain rod
- Wash all cabinets inside and out with tide and hot water or pink if not bad
- Clean counter tops
- Clean counter, mirror, and sinks
- Remove drain plug if able to and clean inside
- Unclog any drains
- Wash drain hole in sink
- Wash any power outlets needing it
- Wash all windows, blinds, tracks
- Wash/disinfect light switches
- Wash dust walls
- Vacuum floor and heat vent interior
- Mop x 2
